Our client, a leading designer, and manufacturer of bespoke control systems and turnkey automation solutions, is seeking a driven and versatile engineer to join their growing organisation. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of high-end automation projects, from initial concept and programming through to on-site commissioning and post-installation support. While primarily based in the UK, the role will involve occasional global travel. Key Responsibilities: Design, program and commission bespoke control systems Develop PLC, HMI/SCADA, and industrial network solutions Work closely with internal panel builders and design engineers Lead on-site installation, commissioning, fault-finding and servicing Take ownership of customer projects from design through to delivery Mentor junior team members and support their development Deliver all work to exceptional standards, on time and within scope Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven experience with industrial control systems Strong PLC programming skills (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens essential) Knowledge of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, ProfiNET) Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail Self-motivated, hands-on and adaptable with a proactive mindset Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points) No criminal convictions that will stop you travelling abroad Willingness to travel approx. 50% of the time (mostly UK with some overseas projects) Exposure to EPLAN, robotics or automation within plastics/packaging industries (not essential) Previous international project experience (not essential) Interested?
