Bring your skills to the mix as a Senior Coastal Engineer; you'll play a vital role in every aspect of coastal engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
We specialise in all aspects of coastal engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We continue to provide industry-leading coastal modelling and engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, adding value through client-side support as well as during construction phases. Your Purpose:
1. Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
2. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
3. Successfully manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
4. Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
* Chartered Civil Engineer.
* Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
* Sound knowledge of ocean waves, tidal theory, extreme value statistics, nearshore wave processes, and sediment transport.
* Design experience of coastal structures such as flood defences, sea walls, breakwaters, revetments, and beaches, following standards like BS6349, EurOtop manual, and rock manual.
* Ability to plan and direct the use of numerical modelling to simulate wave propagation, tidal flows, hydrodynamics, etc.
