(3pm to 6pm, at the end of school term (12pm to 3pm) 8,436.60 per annum (£14.80 p/h) Main Purpose To provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children before and after school, supporting their social, emotional, and physical development through play-based activities. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children aged 4–11 years in a safe environment. Plan and deliver age-appropriate play activities, games, arts and crafts, sports, and creative sessions. Support children's wellbeing, confidence, and social development. Assist with snack preparation and mealtime supervision. Maintain accurate attendance registers. Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times. Promote positive behaviour and manage minor behavioural issues appropriately. Ensure all equipment and play areas are safe and tidy. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues. Support children with additional needs where required. Essential Requirements Minimum 6 months experience working with children. Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to create engaging activities for children. Desirable Level 2 Childcare Qualification. Paediatric First Aid. Food Hygiene Certificate. Experience in schools, nurseries, holiday clubs, youth work, sports coaching, or playwork.
