We are seeking skilled Groundworkers to join our construction team in Rochdale for a 3-month project. The successful candidates will be responsible for a range of groundwork tasks to support drainage, kerb laying, paving, and general site operations.
One of the roles requires a Groundworker with a valid Dumper ticket.
Key Responsibilities
* Breaking piles, saw cuts to piles
* Prepare and lay drainage systems, install and connect pipes, soakaways, and drainage channels
* Excavate and backfill as required, ensuring site safety and compliance with method statements
* Lay and commission kerbs, edgings, channelling, and related concrete works
* Prepare, lay, and finish paving including block paving, flags, and tarmac as required- Operate and assist with small plant and hand tools
* Assist with site clearance, housekeeping, and waste management
* Set out, level, and align new groundwork according to drawings and specifications
* Read and follow construction drawings, sketches, and instructions
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment; adhere to health and safety regulations- Report any issues, damages, or hazards to site supervisor promptly
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as a Groundworker, with a strong track record.
* Proficient use of hand tools and compacting equipment
* Basic knowledge of setting out and compaction techniques
* Solid communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Additional/Preferred Qualifications
* Valid Dumper ticket for the role requiring dumper duties
* CSCS card or equivalent construction safety qualification
* Experience with small plant and machinery
