General Sales Manager – Main Dealership
Location: Crewe
Salary: £50,000 basic | £85,000 OTE | Company Car Included
Richard Abson Group is thrilled to be working with a highly respected main dealership in Crewe, searching for an experienced General Sales Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven automotive leader who excels in managing people, optimising performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
About the Role:
As General Sales Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the dealership’s success, overseeing a motivated team that includes an Assistant Sales Manager, Business Manager, and 9 New & Used Car Sales Executives. You’ll be responsible for delivering volume and profit targets across new and used vehicles while maintaining strong F&I performance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team to exceed targets and deliver a world-class customer journey
* Drive performance across new and used car sales, finance, and insurance products
* Maintain full FCA compliance and ensure all sales processes meet brand and group standards
* Deliver consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
* Collaborate with manufacturer partners and internal stakeholders to meet business objectives
* Lead from the front with a hands-on approach and clear performance expectations
About You:
* Currently working as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or a senior leader in an automotive sales environment
* Proven ability to lead a high-performing sales team
* Strong understanding of both new and used car markets, along with finance and insurance products
* A confident communicator, results-focused, and passionate about coaching and development
* Highly organised, resilient, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
* Every other weekend OFF
* Plus one day off during the week, every week
