Job Description for Housing Inspector
You will be working with a leading Social Housing provider in North Yorkshire as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities include conducting inspections of residences, diagnosing issues, and making evidence-based recommendations to maintain the high standard of the housing portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out various surveys such as planned and reactive maintenance repairs, voids, damp and mould, and condensation surveys.
2. Creating a schedule of works based on your findings.
3. Engaging with stakeholders, including contractors, developers, and local authorities, to ensure repairs meet required standards.
4. Listening to and logging customer queries during visits, providing points of referral.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
* A technical qualification such as HNC or RICS.
* Experience working in Social Housing or Local Authority environments, particularly with residential properties.
* Experience with repairs, maintenance, disrepair, damp and mould, and voids.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse range of customers.
