Shift Engineer (Critical Financial Services Site)

Salary: Circa £48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental (Days & Nights)

We are recruiting two Shift Engineers to join a prestigious critical financial services site in the City of London, working for a global facilities management provider. This is a permanent role offering exceptional stability, a well-established engineering structure, and long-term career progression within a highly regulated environment.
The Role
You will be part of a site-based engineering team responsible for maintaining and operating critical building services that support a major financial services client. The role is hands-on and operational, ensuring business-critical systems remain fully resilient and compliant at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Planned and reactive maintenance across critical M&E systems
Fault-finding and first-line response on critical plant and infrastructure
Operation and monitoring of systems including HV/LV electrical, HVAC, UPS, generators, and BMS
Ensure strict compliance with health & safety, SLA, and financial services regulations
Complete shift logs, permits, and technical reports to a high standard
Liaise with site management and specialist contractors to maintain system resilience
About You
Electrical or mechanical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
Experience working on critical environments such as financial services, data centres, or high-end commercial buildings
Strong fault-finding skills with a calm, methodical approach under pressure
Able to work a continental shift pattern, including days and nights
Professional, reliable, and detail-focused
