Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, to play a lead role in collaborative research projects and conduct ongoing original research and publications in Mathematical Sciences. Experience supervising PhD and Master students, and successful acquisition of external research funding is essential.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in Applied Mathematics or Statistics (or preferably postgraduate degree or equivalent), and excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
Employment details
The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract for 5 years starting September 2026, with possibility of extension.
