We are currently looking for a Mobile Engineer to join our London based engineering team, supporting customers across the capital and surrounding areas. This is a key frontline role, ensuring our equipment remains safe, compliant, and ready for hire when our customers need it most.
About the Role
As a Mobile Engineer, you will enjoy a varied and rewarding role that combines hands‑on engineering with customer service and problem‑solving.
Your Responsibilities
* Attending customer sites to service, inspect, and repair hire equipment
* Keeping service and maintenance records accurate and up to date
* Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs efficiently
* Responding promptly to breakdowns and urgent service requests
* Completing job reports and updating systems correctly
* Communicating clearly with customers, depot teams, and colleagues
* Working independently while contributing to the wider engineering team
* Supporting the delivery of Speedys ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and customer‑focused engineer who takes pride in delivering high standards of work.
You Will Ideally Have
* A full UK driving licence
* Proven mechanical engineering experience (essential), ideally within the hire industry or a similar environment
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to manage your workload and remain calm under pressure
* A positive, flexible, and team‑oriented approach
