JN Technical is seeking an experiencedDesign Engineer to join a national construction company that specialise in the fabrication and erection of steel structures across the UK.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in the UK steelwork industry.
* Strong design calculation skills, with proficiency in software such as:
o Tekla Structural Designer (Fastrak Building Designer)
o Fastrak Portal Frame
o Masterframe / STAAD PRO
o Masterseries Connections
Job Responsibilities:
* Work with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
* Develop and refine design ideas using industry-standard software.
* Apply loadings and calculate stresses and load paths across various structural components.
* Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, environmental standards, and health & safety requirements.
* Maintain quality by adhering to company standards and best practices.
* Stay updated on industry developments through workshops, professional publications, and networking.
* Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
* Apply a strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
