Teaching Assistant – SEND Specialist School
Location: Morpeth
Pay: £507 – £550 per week (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: Monday – Friday | Full-time or Part-time available

Milk Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist SEND school in the Morpeth area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive setting where staff focus on helping every child reach their full potential.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, social and emotional needs, and communication difficulties. We are keen to speak with candidates who are passionate about supporting children with SEND and who may be looking for either full-time or part-time work.
The Role – Teaching Assistant
1. Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups
2. Assist teachers with delivering tailored lessons and learning activities
3. Provide support for pupils with SEND including autism and communication needs
4. Help create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment
5. Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils with their social development
6. Prepare classroom resources and support daily classroom routines
Essential Requirements
7. Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND or specialist settings
8. A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
10. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
11. Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
