About the role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your key objective is to generate business sales opportunities for Moorepay’s Customer Success sales team. You'll generate appointments for the Commercial Account Managers to support revenue growth through upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing customers. Your responsibilities include researching, identifying, managing, pipeline development, and closing appointments, guiding clients from initial contact to revenue confirmation.
You'll join the wider Moorepay Sales team, based at our Swinton office. The role offers a hybrid working model: Monday to Wednesday in the office, with Thursday and Friday working from home.
Key responsibilities include:
* Contact existing customers using data to generate cross-sell/upsell opportunities via scheduled appointments.
* Develop and maintain viable client relationships.
* Explore and implement new customer interaction techniques.
* Follow up on marketing campaigns to nurture a long-term sales pipeline.
* Identify early-stage opportunities and manage engagement with clients.
* Support larger deals from inception to closure.
* Maintain accountability for pipeline and revenue generation.
* Contribute to the success of the Customer Success team through activity and productivity.
* Accurately update CRM with key contact details, decision makers, and contractual information.
* Utilize sales and marketing tools to identify business issues and position Moorepay’s services advantageously.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Support customer engagement and business performance through personal behavioral excellence.
* Assist in onboarding new team members and act as a business ambassador.
Skills & experience
* Experience in B2B telesales, particularly for SMB clients.
* Proven success in meeting or exceeding KPIs.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Strong communication skills with charisma and gravitas.
* Willingness and ability to learn and adapt quickly.
* Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English.
