Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, masking, and painting vehicle bodies and components to a high standard while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, ensuring excellent quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation & Masking
* Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, cleaning, degreasing, and surface preparation.
* Mask vehicles and components accurately to protect non‑painted areas, ensuring clean lines and a professional finish.
Painting Duties
* Paint aluminium bodies using etching primer, followed by a wet‑on‑wet undercoat.
* Apply a high‑quality two‑pack topcoat finish.
* Paint metal components with primer and apply a consistent, high‑standard topcoat.
Equipment & Work Area Maintenance
* Correctly use and manage personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Maintain spray guns and all spray equipment, ensuring they remain clean and in good working order.
* Keep spray bays and work areas clean, organised, and safe at the end of each shift.
Health & Safety
* Work in full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and regulations.
* Report any unsafe practices or hazards immediately.
* Support management by following all Health & Safety rules and procedures.
Additional Duties
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by management that may fall outside the immediate scope of this job description.
