HIGHFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL


Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SEND Support)

SALARY: Grade D (SCP Point 6-11) £25,183 - £27,269 per pro rata (Actual Salary £18,496 - £20,028 per annum) + SEN Allowance £1,455 pro rata

STATUS: Fixed Term, initially until 31st August 2026

HOURS: 32.5 hours per week, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Term Time only

REQUIRED FROM: 1st September 2025

The Headteacher and Governors of this happy and successful school are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Level 2 teaching assistant to support children in KS1 with specific SEND needs. Previous experience of working with children who have an Education, Health and Care Plan is essential.

We are looking for a committed candidate who will be:

* Passionate about children’s learning and wellbeing
* Highly motivated and able to establish good working relationships with pupils and colleagues, acting as a role model
* Committed to working in partnership with parents
* Able to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and experience of working with children with specific SEND needs
* Proactive and able to work with individual children and small groups, both within and outside the classroom

The successful candidate will join the support team in school and will contribute to the high standard of teaching and learning at Highfield.
