We are a charity run business, established in 2003. We create a home from home experience within our setting, for our children to grow and flourish. Due to growing numbers, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. We pride ourselves on offering all our staff training opportunities in areas they wish to develop relevant to the setting needs which allow them to develop within their career and own personal growth. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Deputy Manager will assist in the daily operations, staff management, and development of educational programmes.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the childcare facility.
* Provide leadership and support to staff members.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to children's needs.
* Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
* To care for the welfare, well being and development of children ages between 2 - 5 years.
* To effectively deliver the EYFS with the team ensuring that the individual needs and interests of all our children in the setting are met.
* To keep records of key children's development and share their development with parents, professionals and other key adults in the children's lives.
* To work alongside the manager/deputy manager/staff team to ensure our settings aims and objectives are fulfilled.
* To read, understand and adhere to our settings policies and procedures.
* To support the nursery's commitment in safeguarding all children in our care.
* To ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintained at all times.
* To be part of the team to provide a stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
Requirements:
* We are looking for a Qualified Level 3 Deputy Manager with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a nursery and leading a team.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare setting.
* Strong background in early childhood education or related fields.
* Experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or similar environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* A nurturing attitude towards children with an understanding of their developmental needs.
Experience
* Holding a Senior Nursery position: 2 plus years (preferred)
* Nursery experience: 3 years (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
