The Role As the Receptionist at Stanshawes Care Home, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, and staff. Your role is pivotal in creating a positive and professional atmosphere, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the care home. This is a part-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £12.21 per hour. Key Responsibilities Welcoming and greeting visitors, residents, and contractors with warmth and professionalism. Managing incoming calls efficiently, responding to enquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate person or department. Maintaining the reception area to ensure it is tidy and inviting at all times. Handling incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries promptly and securely. Maintaining accurate records, including visitor logs and appointment schedules. Providing administrative support, such as data entry, filing, and document preparation. Supporting staff with general enquiries and liaising with healthcare professionals as required. Adhering to all health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Assisting Admin Manager with Recruitments, residents personal allowance, Staff Training and general office duties. Qualifications and Skills Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably within Health, Nursing & Social Care or a related sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Proficient in using telephone systems, Microsoft Office suite, and basic IT applications. Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality and data protection. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment. Understanding of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable adults is highly desirable.
