Young Creatives Programme Manager, The Young Creatives Programme Manager is responsible for the research and project management of Modern Art Oxford’s Young Creatives projects which includes the delivery of the Young Creatives Collective, socials, and school visits. Modern Art Oxford’s Young Creatives programme offers a diverse range of studio sessions and professional development opportunities throughout the year for young people aged 16‑21, including support and mentoring for sixth‑form students and undergraduates as part of university partnerships. The manager takes a lead role in collaboratively developing programme ideas with young people to ensure all projects are inclusive and reflect the group’s interests. This role combines research, delivery, and project management with a core focus on co‑curating with young people to develop Modern Art Oxford’s new three‑year strategy, Changing Geographies (), which aims to develop new regional partnerships and commission opportunities with 45 young people each year.

The role is part of the Communities, Practice & Participation team. The manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration and coordination of visiting schools and colleges, working alongside the Curator of Communities, Practice & Participation to build and sustain new relationships with young people, charities, and grassroots organisations across Oxfordshire. The programme regularly engages more than 800 young people each year through visiting schools, colleges, and socials, with a focused collective of 15 young people who meet monthly.

Qualifications

* Strong interest in contemporary art and visual culture
* Minimum of three years experience working with young people aged 16‑21 in a contemporary arts organisation
* Strong understanding of pedagogy and inclusive practices with young people
* Experience delivering projects and workshops in art galleries and museums, working with artists, facilitators, or creative practitioners
* Managing multiple projects, partnerships, and delivery
* Experience with diverse materials and media
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills
* Experience collaborating with teachers and schools
* Ability to prioritise workloads effectively
* Good IT, administrative and organisational skills
