You'll teach across electrical engineering qualifications, helping students build technical knowledge, safety awareness and the hands‑on skills the sector demands. Planning and delivering lessons, assessing progress and being part of a team where getting things right first time is part of how you work and what you teach.
What you’ll do
* Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes, combining engaging practical and theory sessions
* Support apprentices to succeed through workplace reviews, progress tracking, and preparation for End‑Point Assessment (EPA)
* Build strong relationships with employers to ensure high-quality on‑site training and meaningful learner development
* Contribute to a forward‑thinking curriculum aligned with industry standards and emerging technologies.
If you’re new to teaching, we’ll support you with training, mentoring, and time to gain your teaching qualification.
What you’ll bring
* Strong industry experience in Electrical Installation, with up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations and safe working practices
* A passion for developing others, with experience supporting, coaching, or mentoring apprentices or colleagues
* Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a practical, accessible way
* A motivated, organised approach, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
If you already have teaching or apprenticeship delivery experience, that’s a bonus – but if you’re coming from industry, we’ll support you to develop your teaching skills.
Essential qualifications
* Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation
* Relevant industry experience
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
* Teaching and assessor qualifications (e.g. PGCE/Cert Ed, TAQA/A1), or willingness to work towards them
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of electrical regulations (18th Edition preferred)
