A Vacancy at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. Consultant Psychiatrist, Intensive Care Unit Colne Ward and Hillingdon Light House, Hillingdon Mental Health. Permanent, Full Time 10 PAs. We are seeking applications for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Team at Colne Ward and Light House located at Riverside Centre in Uxbridge, Middlesex.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to lead the Multi-disciplinary Team for patients aged 18 and over who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness admitted to the Light House and Colne Ward.
The candidate should be on GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview. CNWL has built on excellent links with Brunel University; the successful candidate will have the option to take up an extra 1 PA as an educational post.

Responsibilities
* Clinical leadership for the assessment and management of patients admitted to the PICU and Lighthouse, including conducting ward rounds, reviews, and overseeing care plans.
* Comprehensive assessment and development of individualized treatment plans.
* Multidisciplinary teamwork with nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to deliver holistic care.
* Regular meetings with the Consultant Psychiatrist in charge of Crane Ward and Frays Ward.
* Medication management: prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications as part of the treatment plan.
* Discharge planning: facilitating smooth transitions back into the community or to less intensive care settings.
* Liaison and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including community mental health teams and relevant agencies.
* Mental Health Act implementation: ensuring appropriate assessments and reviews.
* Quality improvement: participating in audits, service evaluations, and clinical governance activities.
* Teaching and supervision of junior doctors or other team members as applicable.
* On-call responsibilities: participating in the on-call rota to provide psychiatric support outside regular hours.
Qualifications & Experience
* GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview.
* Experience in leadership of a multidisciplinary team and care of adults with acute mental illness in an inpatient setting.
* Commitment to personal, team, and service development; ability to work collaboratively with providers within the borough.
