Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Batley for a Charity Accountant. The role involves preparing financial accounts, assisting in examinations, and ensuring compliance with charity regulations. Responsibilities also include maintaining financial records, preparing management reports, and providing advice to support effective decision-making.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in accounting principles in the charity industry including charities SORP.
* Experience with charity-specific regulations and statutory requirements
* Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills
* Ability to use accounting software such as VT and Xero and other relevant tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and colleagues
* Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or demonstrable experience in a similar role
* Experience working within the third sector or with charities is highly desirable
