Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Placement and Referrals Manager to join our management team and be based at our head offices (with some potential homeworking). The successful candidate will oversee the referral of new Service Users, support our Registered Managers to manage current service user placements (approx. 33 placements), and have input alongside the rest of our Management team into the general running of the organisation as part of the more general role of Manager. This role requires a proactive and organized individual with a strong background in mental health and excellent attention to detail.
Hours of Work:
* Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Referral Management:
* Handle referral enquiries and assess new referral documentation.
* Attend meetings to ascertain whether we would be a suitable placement for prospective service users.
* Oversee visits to and from prospective Service users.
* Attend relevant meetings (CPA review, MAPPA, tribunals etc.) and prepare initial care plans.
* Write reports for funding panels.
* Liaise with others in the organisation to ensure appropriate practical arrangements have been made prior to somebody moving in and maintain referral records
Current Resident Management:
* Support and advise Registered Managers on Service User care and help them to trouble shoot issues that may arise.
* If appropriate attend handovers, CPA reviews, and other relevant meetings.
* Manage resident placement endings.
* If they arise, address concerns from families and professionals.
* Support Managers in seeking feedback from service users and acting on feedback to ensure the service is always evolving to provide the best outcomes for people.
Requirements and Skills for the role:
* Professional and positive approach.
* Initiative, dedication, and flexibility.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Mental Health Legislation to include the capacity act.
* Current full driving licence (desirable).
* Adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
* Qualified mental health professional (e.g., Social Worker, Occupational Therapist etc).
* Extensive experience in mental health care.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with a very good attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

* A salary range of £38,000 to £45,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
