Job Description
Assist and support vulnerable people with personal and social care, encouraging independence and enabling them to remain in their own homes within their communities. Contribute to the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Health & Social Care Partnership Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for either or both groups, or have an existing PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council.
Please note: PVG records are continually updated. Any relevant information disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Record Update will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment confirmation.

Additional Information
This is a part-time, temporary position within Adult Support Services across East Ayrshire, lasting until 31/03/2026.
Work Pattern: A mix of early, day, and back shifts between 7 am and 11 pm over five days, with some sleepover duties required.
Salary: £25,026 - £26,202 annually, including a 12.5% shift allowance.
