The Opportunity
DCG are proud to be partnering with a respected and well-established provider of specialist care in the Greater Manchester area, to help recruit an experienced Service Manager to manage their established short breaks respite service based in Greater Manchester.
This service offers short breaks and respite care for guests with learning disabilities and complex health needs, aged 14 and over at their welcoming respite facility, with a highly skilled team trained in complex needs, autistic spectrum conditions, behavioural support, and total communication techniques.
Your Role
As Service Manager, you'll have full operational responsibility for the service and your focus will be:
* Leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
* Ensuring safe, effective and high-quality service delivery in line with CQC regulations
* Collaborating with the organisation's quality team to continually improve outcomes
* Creating a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and residents
* Overseeing budgets and demonstrating commercial awareness
What We're Looking For
* A minimum Level 5 qualification (or working towards) - leadership and Management in Social Care or equivalent
* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Short Breaks manager or within the area
* Experience of leading day to day operations in a fast-paced busy environment and the ability to work weekends/evenings and cover on-call as required.
* Strong background in supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
* Knowledge of CQC regulations and KLOEs
* Excellent people management, communication and leadership skills

Interview Process
* Initial informal chat with the Head of Adults Services or Operations Director
* If successful, a panel interview, including a 10-minute presentation, with the Area Manager, Head of Adult Services and another member of the senior leadership team.
