We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurseto join our Mental Healthteam at HMP Bure, a category CPrison located in Badersfield, Norwich.
In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Monday to Sunday - 08:00 - 18:00
The site currently operates on a 3 week rolling rota, working 4-5 days per week
There is an expectation to work 1 weekend in 3
Salary
This position is full time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,211per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As aMental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
* Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic
experiences
* Assess patient’s health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge
* Work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders

Requirements:
* NMC Registered Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nurse
* Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
* Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
* Experience of working with learning disability patients
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
