2nd Line Service Desk Field Engineer (Part time)
We're seeking a part-time 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer to join our IT Service Desk Team. This key role supports our organisation in improving technology use and enabling colleagues to work smarter, now and into the future.
In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll provide effective, customer-focused 2nd line support in the field, covering all business systems and equipment across our offices and schemes. As the technical point of escalation, you'll diagnose and resolve faults, meeting or exceeding targets. You'll also act as a Service Owner for some of Midland Heart's IT services, driving continuous improvement during a period of transition.
This part-time role requires onsite presence on Wednesdays and Thursdays, working on a rota between 8 am and 5 pm.
Our ideal candidate
* Previous IT Service Desk experience, including 2nd line support in the field.
* Strong technical expertise with IT hardware and software, including Microsoft Azure administration, business applications, desktop applications, Audio Visual equipment, Intune mobile device management, telephony, and networking.
* Enthusiasm and adaptability for transformation and change, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and team engagement.
Candidates must be willing and able to travel across the Midlands region, often to remote areas inaccessible by public transport, sometimes at short notice.
