Electro-Motive Diesel are looking for a Field Service Engineer who will primarily be operating between Eastleigh, Tonbridge in Kent and the Midlands. This role would be ideal for an experienced technician with a track record of dealing with diesel engine technology / equipment. As part of the Field Service Engineer team, you will be instrumental in maintaining the customer’s locomotive fleet to ensure safe and reliable operation, through the delivery of proactive and reactive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at various locations including railway sidings, depots and customer sites. You will take a proactive approach to identifying and reporting potential issues and defects that could lead to loco failure or problems with reliability. In delivering a reliable service for our customers you will take part in the on-call roster. Overnight stays may be required where work cannot be completed in a set time.
