Technical Officer – Parks & Contract Development (Gr 6)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Officer – Parks & Contract Development (Gr 6) to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage technical aspects of park development projects from initiation to completion.
* Develop, review, and oversee contracts related to park services and maintenance.
* Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and tender evaluations.
* Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
* Support strategic planning initiatives for the enhancement of park facilities and services.
* Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for park projects and contract management.
* Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and management.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
* Proven experience in contract development and management, preferably in parks or public spaces.
* Strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent project management and organizational skills.
* Ability to conduct technical site inspections and assessments with attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
* Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office, project management tools, and GIS is preferred.
* Ability to analyze technical data and prepare clear, concise reports.
* Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
