Operations Supervisor

42 hours per week | Rotating shifts (5 days out of 7)

We're looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of bus services at our Maidstone depot. This is a hands-on operational role where you'll support drivers, manage daily service delivery, and respond to real-time operational challenges.
What you'll be doing
* Act as the first point of contact for drivers throughout the operating day
* Manage day-to-day service delivery, including duty allocation and network control
* Respond to incidents such as service disruption, collisions, diversions, and passenger issues
* Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance
* Deliver driver briefings and support training, coaching, and performance standards
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and lost property processes
* Accurately record hours worked and support cost-effective operations
* Contribute to daily KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Essential
* PCV license
* Supervisory experience in an operational or people-focused role
* Good understanding of Health & Safety
* Knowledge of the PCV/HGV industry
* Experience working with Trade Unions
* Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
* Confident IT user
* Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure
Desirable
* First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
* Coaching or people development experience
