Psychology Graduate – Trainee Teaching Assistant

We’re supporting a specialist setting for children and young people with autism, and they’re looking for graduates who can bring empathy, curiosity, and fresh ideas to their classrooms.
What you’ll be doing:
* Working closely with pupils with autism, providing individual and small group support
* Using your psychology knowledge to help children overcome barriers to learning
* Supporting behaviour plans and strategies alongside teachers and SENCOs
* Building positive, trusting relationships that help children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn
What we’re looking for:
* A psychology (or related) degree and a genuine interest in applying your knowledge in a school setting
* Awareness of autism and SEND (experience is great, but training is provided)
* Strong communication skills, empathy, and the resilience to take challenges in your stride
* Someone who’s enthusiastic about starting their journey in education or child development
* Enhanced DBS (if you don't have one, you will need to apply for one)
