Your Role as a Nursery Practitioner
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
* Assist management in delivering the highest standards of care and education for children.
* Collaborate with the Room Leader and team to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Contribute creative ideas to planning, ensuring high-quality learning and development.
* Liaise with staff regarding children’s specific needs and requirements.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
* Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures.
* Meet health and safety and environmental health requirements.
About Head Start Crews Hill Day Nursery and Pre-School
We care for children aged birth to 5 years, operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, all year round (excluding public bank holidays). Our mission is to provide a happy, home-away-from-home environment, emphasizing individual attention and learning through play. We believe every child should feel safe, happy, and healthy in a stimulating educational setting.
Our dedicated staff members share a genuine love for children, with many training on the job and others bringing a wealth of experience.
Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience
* Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
* Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
* Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
* Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
* Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
