To provide a high-quality confidential service within the Single Point Access (SPA) team and GP Collaborative team, ensuring an excellent, quality service for patients, referrers, and clinicians using the service.
To provide administrative support to the Patient Choice Advisors and clinicians within the relevant services, assisting in delivering an efficient and high-quality service.
Undertake accurate recording, inputting, and amending of data within Trust Information systems. Communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy, seeking to overcome barriers to effective communication using methods such as email and telephone.
Work collaboratively with the wider departmental team to ensure a consistent, patient-first service.
Use initiative within the role, seeking guidance when necessary, and support the development and improvement of the service.
Complete all mandatory Trust training and participate in personal development.
Assist and support in the development and training of new team members.
Prioritize workload effectively and coordinate activities related to the role.
Provide efficient administrative and clerical support to PCA’s, clinicians, and patients.
Handle incoming calls from patients and clinicians confidently, efficiently, and confidentially, taking accurate messages.
Receive and process referrals from healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring data accuracy.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail daily.
Support staff with photocopying, filing, and general admin duties, including registration of referrals, scanning, and data entry.
Support triage clinicians by ensuring patient demographics are complete and legible on all referrals.
Comply with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals policies on confidentiality and conduct.
Support colleagues by providing cover as needed, including 7 days a week, 24/7.
Undertake all duties relevant to the position.
