The School for Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Plumbing lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students so as to maximise achievement and continuous improvement.

You ll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development and select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.

We d like you to hold a plumbing qualification (Level 3 or above), a teaching qualification and recent teaching experience in Plumbing in an FE College. With a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners and of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring and reviewing progress, you ll have strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.

You ll have an advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills, with effective presentation, delivery and time management skills for a variety of audiences. You ll be able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines with the ability to use initiative, organise and prioritise.
