Clinical Support Worker- Medical Day Unit - Conquest
We have exciting opportunities for a full time Clinical Support Worker to join our Medical day unit based at the Conquest Hospital.
This new unit is a planned day case service operating Monday to Friday 8-8.30pm providing day case procedures .
We are looking for people who have excellent interpersonal skills and are willing to learn, to join our friendly team. Previous experience working within a care setting is required and additional training will be given as needed.Successful applicants will have the opportunity to enhance their basic skills and would be expected to work within a multidisciplinary team. Successful applicants will be expected to work Monday to Friday 8-4
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker - previously known as HCA's (Band 3) is a member of thecare team who provides:
* A range of delegated clinical care duties
* Undertakes and records patients' vital signs
* Escalate any concerns in observation or change inpatient's condition
* Enhanced observations
* Take blood/ Cannulate
* collect blood products
* support flow of floor

Qualifications
* GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
* Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work based diploma or equivalent
Experience
* Relevant experience of working in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care
