Join our client, a distinguished financial services company based in Edinburgh, as a Contract EDM Analyst.
This is an initial 6 month contract, Inside IR35 with significant potential for a long term engagement for the right person.
This is an exciting opportunity to engage in the maintenance and enhancement of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform, essential for the company's investment activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background as a Senior Developer, bringing expertise in data management and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain optimal performance of the EDM platform while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, minimizing disruptions to investment operations.
* Implement new features and enhancements based on the evolving needs of investment teams and regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical support and training for end-users, including investment analysts and portfolio managers.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and changes to ensure transparency and compliance.
Successful Candidate Profile:
* Deep knowledge of the investment industry and data requirements related to pricing, securities, and entities.
* Experience with data providers such as Bloomberg, LSEG, and ICE.
* Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
* Strong knowledge of EDM platforms, SQL Server, and Windows Server architectures.
* Ability to work autonomously while excelling in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
* Excellent communication skills for effective user support and training.
* Proficiency in documenting technical processes clearly.
Having had several contractors working in this business area over the last 7-8 years, all have enjoyed the challenging projects, culture and team environment. you'll work in a hybrid team (c3 days in the office) and a 35 hour working week.
