Ideal candidates must be drivers with their own vehicle, willing to travel, flexible, and able to work weekends, as contracts are nationwide.
Main duties of the job
Provide patient care, effective treatment, and safe transportation while upholding high clinical and personal standards in hospital and pre-hospital settings.
Respond to patients' clinical needs safely and efficiently, following guidance from senior clinicians or remotely, according to clinical protocols.
Assist senior clinicians by providing effective clinical care, conducting diagnostic procedures, and supporting professional decision-making.
Drive approved ambulance vehicles under normal and emergency conditions, adhering to road traffic laws and safety standards.
Maintain monitoring and treatment until patient transfer or discharge, within your scope of practice and training.
Ensure safe patient transfer with appropriate equipment and manual handling, following safety protocols.
Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.

Person Specification
Qualifications
o Essential qualifications include IHCD, AAP, or FREC 5, and recognized blue light qualification (e.g., IHCD/Level 3 Emergency Response Ambulance Driving).
o Full UK clean driving license with at least 2 years of experience.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975 (Exceptions Order). Applicants will need to submit to a DBS check for any criminal convictions.
