Clinical Fellow in Otolaryngology

£45,504 – £60,199 per annum

Applications are invited for a post of Clinical Fellow in Otolaryngology, based at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The post is suitable for a candidate seeking specific ENT or surgical experience prior to applying for a training post, or someone wishing to further their experience towards a CSER application. Consultant‑led training will be provided.

Seniority level: Internship – Employment type: Full‑time (40 hours per week, fixed term).

Qualifications: Applicants should have completed at least two years of full‑time postgraduate training as FY1 and FY2. Experience within otolaryngology is desirable but not essential. The candidate will join the middle‑grade ENT rotation on a 1 in 6 basis.

Responsibilities: Support the ENT service providing clinical care to residents in Inverness and the remote Highlands and Western Isles. Work within the team to deliver a high‑quality clinical service, including the sub‑specialities of Head and Neck Oncology, Otology, Rhinology, Paediatrics, thyroid/parathyroid surgery and Facial Plastics. Opportunities for ongoing professional and clinical development and full integration into the department both clinically and administratively.

Location: Raigmore Hospital – a modern District General Hospital of around 454 beds, one of the 5 Cancer Centres in Scotland, with extensive training responsibilities and research support.
