About the role
As Bid Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Strategic Bids, Business Development Director and stakeholders across the business. You will have the opportunity to contribute to Ipsum's success by developing and bidding opportunities with new and current customers and generating sales growth year on year.
This is full time, permanent position working from our office in Hillington with hybrid working options too!
As a Bid Manager you will
Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver business growth strategy
Identify new trends, customers, and opportunities through targeted market research
Build and maintain a strong CRM and opportunity pipeline
Drive new customer engagement and lead pre-qualification & tendering activity
Manage tender governance, storyboarding, and quality control of submissions
Develop and continuously improve our bid content library and processes
Collaborate with technical experts, business leaders, and capability leads to produce compelling, high-quality proposals
Set and track BD targets and KPIs aligned to growth plans
Report on tender pipeline and sales activity to management and board level
About you
This opportunity is perfect for someone who is self motivated with a proven background in bid management & writing. You will need to be confident in crafting and delivering standout presentations and written proposals working in a past paced environment. We are looking for someone with utilities sector knowledge, but also open to those with construction & rail backgrounds!
