Garment Technologist Role at Thrivin
Mid-Level | Remote | 4 Days per Week
At THRIVIN, we don’t make average gymwear.
We build performance-driven pieces designed to sculpt, move, and dominate in the gym, without compromising on quality or accessibility.
We are looking for a mid-level Garment Technologist who can take ownership of fit and quality execution across collections.
Someone structured, detail-obsessed, and confident working directly with factories. This is not a senior leadership role, but it is not junior. You will be expected to manage your workflow independently.

* Owning fit comments and ensuring they are clear, concise and actionable
* Reviewing tech packs with designers to ensure construction accuracy
* Checking graded specs and advising on corrections before sampling
* Managing the sealing process and flagging delays early
* Liaising directly with factories (UK + Far East)
* Reviewing fabric and construction standards for performance and durability
* Reviewing lab test reports and highlighting risk areas
* Ensuring all products comply with REACH legislation
* Working closely with design, buying and merchandising teams
* Partnering with QC on bulk inspections and resolving issues fast
* Maintaining and elevating Thrivin’s fit and quality standards
* What We’re Looking For
* 3–5+ years experience within activewear, lingerie, or performance apparel
* Strong knowledge of circular knit and soft bra construction
* Confident reviewing graded specs and test reports
* Comfortable communicating directly with overseas factories
* Highly organised and detail-oriented
* Proactive problem solver, you don’t wait to be told
* Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule
* Fluent in technical garment terminology
Bonus:
* Factory experience

* Experience scaling fast-moving collections
* The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here
You:
* Notice when a garment is 1cm off.
* Care deeply about fit precision.
* Push back on factories when standards slip.
* Understand gymwear is performance product — not just fashion.
* Want to build something big.
* Structure
* 4 days per week
* Remote
* Competitive freelance day rate (based on experience)
