We are seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic 1-1 Support Assistant to join our successful, friendly and inclusive school.
The post will include supporting a Child with Autism. This role is to support the pupil on a one-to-one basis for the entirety of the academic year and beyond. Your duties will include:
• Supporting the child within the learning environment in order to promote their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development
• Working towards set targets using special educational needs interventions and programmes
• Maintaining excellent standards of safety and good practice in relation to safeguarding, health and safety issues, implementing pupils’ plans and appropriately using the recording and reporting processes.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to promoting safeguarding the welfare of children in line with the school’s policies and procedures. A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role. After shortlisting and before interview references will be requested and online searches will be completed to confirm a candidate’s eligibility, and identify any potential safeguarding concerns or risks.
