An established and highly regarded land‑based college in Northamptonshire is seeking an Agriculture Lecturer to join its forward‑thinking team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional from either education or industry to play a key role in shaping the next generation of agricultural talent.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching and training across a range of agricultural courses, supporting students and other client groups to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching and training students to the college’s high academic and vocational standards
* Tutoring and managing one or more groups of learners
* Supporting the development and continuous improvement of agricultural coursesParticipating in internal verification, auditing, and quality assurance processes
* Ensuring an outstanding learner experience across all interactions
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from both experienced lecturers and skilled industry professionals looking to transition into teaching.
Qualifications
* Strong, practical knowledge of agriculture, including arable, livestock, and farm machinery
* A qualification at HNC level (or equivalent vocational experience within agriculture)
* A genuine passion for the farming industry and awareness of current sector developments
* GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
* A commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
Desirable (but not essential)
* NPTC Tractor Proficiency
* PA Certificates
* Telehandler operation certification
* A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning / Cert Ed)
