The role The PR Account Manager role is a key position within the PR team, leading on key accounts as well as providing support for the wider department. The role is supported by the PR Senior Account Executive and PR Account Executive. The PR Senior Account Manager leads on executing activity across their accounts. They are responsible for delivering excellent results for their clients that deliver strong ROI. No day to day is the same at Black Diamond, but the role will involve: Black Diamond / In House A reliable, positive, and proactive member of the PR team Providing support to the Senior Account Manager and Account Director / Senior Account Director on their accounts, communicating effectively on a regular basis to ensure you are supporting them on all relevant tasks Line management of the Senior Account Executive / Account Executive on their accounts, working collaboratively to ensure that all work is delivered on time and to a high standard Effectively managing workload and prioritising urgent and important tasks Provision of support on new business proposals as needed Media Maintain a strong media network across the UK & Ireland B2B and B2C travel and lifestyle media Attend relevant media and networking events Regularly meet with/host key media and influencers, updating on client news and opportunities Maintenance of media lists and other administrative support for the PR team including weekly coverage monitoring Maintain overview of the changing media landscape Clients Day-to-day key point of contact for their clients Develop and execute client activity plans Identify key messaging and storytelling angles Implement specific PR projects and campaigns Provide proactive and reactive media relations Produce strong copy for press releases, newsletters and pitches Secure top quality coverage for clients Assist in organising and hosting media missions, press trips and client / media events collaboratively with the SAM / AD Oversee monthly and annual coverage and results reporting for the client, ensuring it is delivered in an accurate and timely way before being signed off by the AD/SAD Support the SAM/AD/SAD in financial management of client accounts; inputting to accurate and optimal forecasting, invoicing and expense claims Office days (full company) are Tues, Weds & Thurs. WFH days are Monday & Friday, but the office is always open for staff. Core office hours are 10am-5pm, with flexibility to work the additional hours as you wish between 8am - 7pm. We also offer flexibility for things like childcare. About You You are an organised and proactive PR professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment. Comfortable managing multiple projects at once, you bring strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively while keeping campaigns moving forward. A natural collaborator, you enjoy working closely with colleagues, clients and media to deliver creative and impactful PR campaigns. You are confident managing day-to-day client relationships, presenting updates and insights, and hosting media or client meetings and events. You are also a strong storyteller and writer, able to turn ideas, insights and brand messaging into compelling media pitches, press materials and campaign narratives. Analytical and curious, you are confident compiling reports, interpreting results and sharing clear, meaningful updates with clients. You take initiative, look for solutions and support the wider team wherever needed, from leading and mentoring junior executives to assisting senior team members with budgets, reporting and campaign delivery.
