Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
Conceptual, detailed design & development of machinery
Design of control systems such as variable speed drives, PLC & field bus systems
Convert written specification to a complete design including schematic drawings & a complete bill of materials within the company ERP system
Design for manufacture & assembly
Liaising with suppliers on bought out components & with other departments
Development of test plans & procedures
Lead or support contractual & development projects to aggressive timescales & budget
Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:
Prior EPlan experience would be ideal with experience of safety standards, EMC requirements, AutoCad and SISTEMA beneficial
An understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics would be highly advantageous
HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with a thorough understanding of engineering principals including electrical circuit diagrams & symbols
Good communication skills & a positive attitude to team work along with a flair for problem solving & a flexible approach
Located in the Bedford area, the role would be commutable from Milton Keynes, Luton, Kettering, Bicester, Northampton, Huntingdon and Cambridge.
Role would also suit an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer or an Electrical Design Engineer.
