Role Overview:
We are working with one of the UK's most prominent and complex organizations to hire a Head of Indirect Tax for a key leadership role within their in-house finance function.
This senior position involves driving the indirect tax strategy, leading a high-performing team, and advising on high-value commercial and property projects. It offers a unique opportunity to shape tax strategy and influence critical business decisions in an enterprising environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and lead the organization’s indirect tax (primarily VAT) strategy
2. Provide advisory support on large-scale commercial and property transactions
3. Oversee HMRC engagement and ensure full compliance with all indirect tax obligations
4. Lead a skilled in-house indirect tax team
5. Drive transformation, governance, and process improvements in the tax function
Candidate Requirements:
* ACA / ACCA / ATT / CTA qualified with significant post-qualified UK VAT experience
* Experience within large or complex organizations
* Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset
* Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
