Insurance Claims Assessor
Location: Reading (Office-based)
Salary: £26,500 base + Performance-Based Bonus (OTE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am-4pm.
About the Role
MotorEasy is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Claims Assessor to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will manage and assess insurance claims across a range of MotorEasy products including Alloy, Tyre, Cosmetic, and GAP insurance.
You'll play a key role in delivering a smooth, supportive claims journey - from initial triage through to repair coordination and post-resolution follow-up. Key Responsibilities
Customer Communication
* Respond promptly and professionally to emails, portal messages, and callback requests
* Provide clear updates on claim progress and outcomes
* Handle general insurance and warranty-related queries
* Deliver excellent customer service across all touchpoints
Claims Assessment & Triage
* Triage incoming claims for Alloy, Tyre, Cosmetic, and GAP products
* Assess photographic evidence and documentation to determine eligibility based on policy terms
* Make and communicate decisions on claims (approvals or declines)
* Coordinate repairs for approved claims through MotorEasy's trusted repair network
* Follow up with customers post-resolution to ensure satisfaction
Team Support
* Collaborate with the wider customer service and claims teams to maintain service levels
* Assist with general customer service tasks as required
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and ability to interpret insurance policy terms
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple open claims
* Confident in handling complex queries and resolving issues quickly
* Customer-first attitude with a proactive and supportive approach
* Experience working directly with customers (F2F or remotely)
