Responsibilities
1. Build monthly / seasonal product strategies including brand mix, SKU and style plan, target retail margins. Manage markup and profit margins, as well as seasonal markdown strategies
2. Formulate assortment, stock allocation and inventory management strategies, that is consistent with overall business strategy
3. Defines and leads the development and execution of the key business drivers (key brands, items and stores)
4. Drive and execute the brands’ floor space planning and allocation for all key locations
5. Determine seasonal transition strategies, develop brand exclusives, promotional and sampling strategies
6. Deliver sales, gross margin and turnover goals for assigned business segment
7. Identify and develop emerging brands for the core customers, and maximize key brands value proposition for our customers
8. Acquire and build strong partnerships with principals and vendors. Identify and develop new business opportunities
9. Keep abreast of competition and fashion trends
Requirements
10. Degree holder in Fashion & Textiles or business discipline
11. With at least 7-8 years of management experience in buying and merchandising, preferably in the fashion / lifestyle / retail industry
12. Strong interest in fashion as well as a strong knowledge of vendors and contacts within the industry
13. Proactive, sensitive to figures and strong analytical and negotiation skills
14. Excellent product sensibility and understanding of competitive retail landscape
15. Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for business results
16. Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
17. Strong decision-making capability with the ability to influence, present and defend a business argument both one-on-one and in a group setting
18. Business acumen, strong analytical and presentation skills
