An inclusive and supportive secondary school in Greater Manchester is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting students with additional needs, social-emotional challenges, or EHCPs.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs or special educational needs
* Help students access the curriculum and develop key learning and social skills
* Assist teachers and pastoral staff in creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
* Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Contribute to student wellbeing, resilience, and engagement with learning
* A recent Psychology graduate (2:2 or above)
* Passionate about supporting young people and promoting mental wellbeing
* Calm, empathetic, and confident in a school setting
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience with children or young people (e.g. mentoring, youth work, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
* Daily rate of £89-£100
* Ongoing training and professional development
* Experience relevant to future roles in psychology, education, or counselling
