Senior Vehicle Technician (Level 3 Qualified)
Location: Nottingham
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £35,006 + Overtime + Performance Bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop in Leicester. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who enjoys diagnostics, complex repairs, and supporting the development of junior team members.

Working Hours
- 42.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 08:00 17:00
- 30-minute lunch break
- 1 in 2 Saturdays required
- Overtime hourly rate once 42.5 hours have been worked
The Role
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs
- Completing complex mechanical work including clutches, gearboxes, and engine repairs
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to manufacturer standards
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Supporting, mentoring, and coaching apprentice and junior technicians
- Contributing to a positive and professional workshop environment
Requirements
- Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic abilities
- Experience carrying out clutch replacements, gearbox repairs, and engine work
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
