Salary: £28,952 - £31,453 per year
Job Description:
* Carrying out the full range of domestic plumbing to current regulations on cold water, hot water, waste pipework.
* Installation of bathroom sanitary ware, radiators including pipework and control valves, cold water tanks, kitchen and bathroom appliances, waste disposal units, showers.
* Searching and diagnosing faults, repairing leaks.
* Weatherproofing roofs, pipes, and gutters with lead, metal, and plastics.
* Ensuring all work is carried out following safe working practices, risk assessments, and safe systems of work, in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
* Providing instruction, guidance, and support to apprentices.
* Following all instructions from Team Co-ordinators at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with all council policies and standing orders.
* Completing all certification and paperwork fully and accurately, and submitting them in a timely manner.
* Interacting with customers and clients to ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Must have satisfactorily completed a recognised apprenticeship in plumbing for at least four years, or have been an adult apprentice for 3 years prior to 1st January 2008.
* Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a plumber.
* Must have obtained one of the following qualifications:
o The Modern Apprenticeship in Plumbing (including foundation modules, SVQ Level 3 in MES Plumbing, and ACS Gas elements);
o The Craft Certificate in plumbing and any two of the three welding certificates in the Advanced Craft Course (Construction Services Welding);
o The required modules of the SCOTVEC / JIB National Certificate in Advanced Plumbing at Stage 3;
o The City & Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing or the Craft Certificate in Plumbing;
* Must have satisfactorily carried out the related work experience element of their apprenticeships.
* Must possess particular practical and production skills.
