Our client, a leading contractor in the water industry, is currently seeking a Section Engineer to join their team for an exciting project with Southern Water. This is a contract role, outside IR35, focusing on the Clean Water Treatment Works (WTW) Southern Water AMP8 project. The initial contract duration is six months, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating site activities across engineering, construction, and subcontract teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works
Overseeing site logistics, short-term planning, and productivity tracking
Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ)
Ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders
Fostering workforce competence and compliance with established procedures
Supporting progress reporting and logistics planning
Facilitating the successful handover of completed works
Job Requirements:
Experience in civil engineering, preferably within the water sector
Understanding of site logistics, planning, and productivity tracking
Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Capability to ensure compliance with established procedures
Proficiency in progress reporting and logistics planning
Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
