This role sits in the Storytelling team, a team of digital, content, comms and events experts responsible for catalysing global urgent optimism through our ability to story tell, engage, educate and entertain.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Head of Events Maternity cover will work closely with the Director of Events and Experiences and the Events team to deliverthe annualEarthshotPrize Awards and supporting events in November 2023, as well as planningand deliveringthe fourth annual awards ceremony in 2024.
TheHead of Events Maternity Coverwillbe responsible forassistingin the development of detailed operational plans; including key timelines, event budgets, and coordinating activity with multiple stakeholders.They will manage two full time members of the events team, in addition tofreelancers at busy times.
They willdemonstrateexceptional stakeholder managementskills, andwill hold day to day relationships with senior individuals from a range of parties, ensuring all those involved feel part of one aligned team. The appointed individual will be an experienced event professional.
The role will bea fixed termfromAugust2023 toNovember2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work closely with theDirector of Events and Experiences tomanage and deliver an agreed programme of events forSingapore 2023, as well as other ad hoc events to support the Prize processover the year.
* Provideinput to the event programme conception and deliverystrategyfor 2023 and 2024.
* Producedetailed event plansand budgetscovering alllogisticsfor examplebrandingand event materials, programming, seating, contentproduction,catering,tech, staging,guest experience, red carpetmanagement etc.
* Work with multipleinternal and externalstakeholders on guest list management.
* Managing and updating detailed project planswith the internal team.
* Planning arrangements forTheEarthshotPrize President, Prize Council Members and VIPs.
* Manage relationships with keyproductionstakeholders, including delivery partners and agencies.
* Liaise with venues and other suppliers, ensuringtheymeet required levels of sustainability.
* Brief in and oversee thedesign &development of key event materials such as invitations and event programmes.
* Ensure that all components surrounding the planning and delivery of the awards and other events set a new precedent for sustainable and green events.
ABOUT YOU
* Demonstrableexperienceof managing and delivering high-profile events withhigh levelsof media attention.
* Experience working onboth B2B and B2Ceventsof varying sizes.
* Experience working onevents based globally acrossdifferentcountries/continentsand therefore proficient working across multiple time zones.
* Strong experience of workingcloselywith multiple stakeholdersand partners to deliver events.
* Experience of working witha number ofhigh-profile individuals, so discretion and professionalism are paramount to an applicant’s success.
* Experience of leading a team in afast-pacedenvironment
* Experience of delivering sustainable and environmentally friendly events.
* Direct line managing and developing junior team members.

* Annual Leave– Entitlement is 25 days plus any statutory bank/public holidays. Our holiday year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
